Erik makeup test

I've always wanted to try my hand at face-painting that looked like Erik's face. I'm definitely not a special effects artist (though that would be the best job EVER), and I didn't have latex or anything like that. Just face paint. I'm in the middle of studying for finals right now, and I needed a break so badly, so I thought, "Ho, hum, what is the best way to constructively use my studying break?"

I have a feeling that drawing all over my face doesn't constitute a constructive use of time.

I edited my eye color (blue eyes didn't look quite right on Erik...yellow is better. ), adjusted the contrast, took out my nose, put the background in, and made my fingers bonier, but other than that, this is all paint--and eye shadow, funnily enough! My facial bones are obviously not that prominent, so this really let me experiment with creating the illusion of bones with just paint. It reminds me of how much I miss sculpting things.

When I had all the make up on with the costume, I don't think my dog recognized me because he kept giving me this look like, "GET THE *$%# OUT OF MY HOUSE, YOU CRAZY OLD MAN."
