Literature Text
She doesn’t know
How lovely she is,
How a radiance
And a passion for life
Shimmer about her
And infect all those
Who are lucky enough to be around her.
She doesn’t know
What a brilliant mind
And remarkable ideas
Grin beneath her shy façade
And wait for the world to discover them.
She doesn’t know
How she has changed me,
How her smile,
Her laughter,
Her tears,
Have attached themselves to me
And I will never shake them off.

How much do I love you?
Fireflies to flame
Drawn in by its warmth and glow
As I to your love
Literature
Love Doesn't Exist
Lost in this unreal reality, I search for you
Over mountains of metaphors marking my way;
Searching, with hopes that you might find me instead. And all the while
Time passes by ever so slowly.
It is better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all...
Liquid fire burned through my lungs as I wasted away in your embrace--
Only it was all a dream, so dreadful, so
Vacant and so fake, yet,
Everything felt so real.
You can't lose what was never yours...
Literature
our breakup sounded like...
our breakup sounded like people screaming
fuck! yelled into ears that just werent
listening; glass breaking like
hearts. throwing rocks against the
wall. falling. breaking bones. the crickets were
silent; i think they were
sorry for us. our breakup sounded like
doors slamming and people
leaving without saying goodbye or
even looking back.

No, this isn't a love poem. At least, not that kind of love. There are different types of love, you know.
Something I scrapped together for my friend who is a far better poet than myself and a wonderful young woman. I am lucky to know you, and you inspire me to be a better person. You're incredible, you just don't know it yet.
