A pipe would make more sense here, since I don't think cigarettes like this existed in the 1870s, but whatever. Let's just say Jasper's already a ghost here and thus has access to modern cigarettes so he can be irresponsible and suck a bunch of toxins into his lungs.

He's also being illogical because as far as I know, ghosts can't smoke. But then, he never really played by the rules, so I suppose that works.

My gosh, I am just not helping Jasper's case, body-odor wise. He drinks like a fish, smokes, and flees from a bath like it's full of happy peppy bubonic plague bubbles.
