Hiiiii!
Howdy, y'all!
You may have noticed that I'm not as active here as I used to be. I'm still kickin', but I'm much more active on my Tumblr.
I'll absolutely still post art here, but if you'd like to chat, I'm more likely to get back to you on Tumblr. :) I also post pieces and drabbles there that I don't post here, if you're interested.
Much love! <3
Updates!
Hot dang, it's been awhile. Since our last chat, I have:
*Completely switched careers from marketing to teaching. I couldn't take one more second of marketing. I'm now teaching English, social studies and a bit of theater at an after-school program for under-resourced youth. It is exhausting and I absolutely love it. That plus working in PR on the days when I'm not in class and trying to manage a social life have left me strapped for some good old fashioned art time. I'm still drawing like crazy--I can't help it!--but I haven't had the time to really delve into a piece like I want to.
I've been feeling like I've reached a plateau with my work, so I've taken a step back
Help bring a Keats sculpture to Chichester!
Artist Vincent Gray has started a fundraiser to raise money for a bronze sculpture of John Keats that will sit in Chichester, adjacent to the building where the he stayed while he was writing The Eve of Saint Agnes in 1820. Gray wants the sculpture–and Keats, in turn–to be accessible to the public so people can sit, take photos, and have a chat with the poet.
To clarify: In all likelihood, the sculpture will not talk back to you. I mean, it might. If it’s, like, possessed or something. If it does start talking back to you, that’s either really, really cool, or a sign that you need to get the heck out of there and cont
