Sirius profile

Best title ever, right? Anywho, here's a celebratory post-finals sketch of Sirius based on a photo of Eoin Macken, whose existence was unknown to me prior to this afternoon and whose existence I am now extraordinarily grateful for because hot dang, what a babe.

The sketch isn't perfect, but it's my sigh of relief that the semester's over and I have time to draw again! I imagine this is Sirius when he's on the run some time during Goblet of Fire, when Harry notices that he looks healthier for once; his face is fuller, his hair is shorter, he doesn't smell like a walking toilet, you know. The usual. Or maybe it's during Christmas time when Grimmauld Place was packed with his buddies and Mrs. Weasley's cooking and he was just generally thrilled not to be cooped up alone all day.

Side note: I have this head-canon that, despite the fact that Mrs. Weasley and Sirius constantly butted heads, her mommy instincts would kick in whenever she was around him and she would keep trying to shovel food down his throat because he clearly needed to make up for thirteen years of missed comfort food. Kind of like a "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" sort of thing. "Sirius, are you hungry?" "No, that's fine, I already ate." "Oh. Okay. I'll make you something."

I really liked drawing a not-so-emaciated Sirius for once, although I had to make some changes to this because while I was drawing it, he started to look like Jesus, which actually made me laugh because leave it up to Jesus to wiggle His way into my drawing and be all, "Ha ha, you were trying to draw Sirius but you SIRIUSLY failed didn't you? AH HA HA HA. WOO. Jesus OUT."

I've never personally spoken with Jesus, but I like to think that He's fond of bad puns.
